Our featured presenter is Dr. James Petrick, Professor, Texas A&M University, Department of Recreation, Park & Tourism Sciences. Learn about the benefits of travel beyond standard economics and measures. Additionally, the health, educative and relationship benefits to the individual will be discussed as well as ways to position these benefits. Dr. Petrick will also explain tourism investment strategies and how to communicate information to tourism markets. 

Jim Petrick is a Full Professor and Research fellow at Texas A&M University. His research explores the determinants of tourists’ purchase behaviors. In the past eleven years, he has been awarded more than $2 million in research grants.  While at A&M, Jim has been one of the most published persons in the field of tourism, has presented his research findings at numerous national & international conferences, and has been a Keynote Speaker in multiple countries. Prior to his work at Texas A&M, he spent six years working on board cruise ships for both Norwegian Cruise Line and Royal Viking Line.
